OnlineStorage
From LaurasWiki
Researched for the EDZsite, which uses MedaiMax, formerly Streamload, for hosting MP3's. The transition to MediaMax has been pretty rocky -- it's broken all the links on our site to download files, lousy customer service, changing functionality.... But, it seems on the upswing and they still look like a strong player. Moviing now isn't very appealing either!

Top Options
- Using: MediaMax (http://www.mediamax.com/) (see below)
- Box.net (http://www.box.net/), also well reviewed and prominant.
- Jungle Disk (http://www.jungledisk.com/)
- (Amazon S3) (http://www.amazon.com/gp/browse.html?node=16427261), Amazon Simple Storage Service
"Jungle Disk is an application that lets you store files and backup data securely to the Amazon S3 Storage Service. It features automatic encryption, local caching for fast access, and supports Windows, Mac, and Linux."
Possibly the best and safest option -- and $$ reasonable. Amazon isn't going anywhere! JungleDisk is the interface. Only drawback is that JungleDisk is not through-the-web, meaning Norman (and the rest of us) would need to download and use the JungleDisk application, but it comes pretty highly recommended. I haven't tried it (yet).
